Sitting here at work…

I have two things to do tonight. Get a couple things ready to head to the PO, and do a load of laundry so I have some clothes for this weekend! I’m going to Bethel this weekend to visit with the family. :) Which will be fun, because I can show off my Visor. Unfortunately, I don’t have the keyboard in time for this weekend, but oh well. I will live!

Currently I’m working over a bit of AbNo. Decided to change something, and had to cut 20 pages to implement that change. But this way will work better, I think, and it will end up having more tension in the upcoming scenes. I’m still not positive what will happen, though.

Anyway, just thought I’d post an update. More later, depending on Road Runner…

February 28, 2002

No update yesterday?!? Well, by the time I got home and had eaten supper and sat down in front of the computer to post auctions, Road Runner decided to go belly-up on me and I struggled with it for two hours before giving up the ghost. So I went to bed early, had a good night’s sleep, and woke up this morning ready to write!

But of course I have to go to work. *sigh* But there is joy! Almost everyone is gone today! And I only have a handful of things to do. :)

More later, I promise.

February 27, 2002

Argh. Forgot to post update. :)

I’m really tired tonight. I haven’t slept well the past two nights, and that might be one of the reasons. I’m contemplating just putting the dishes away and going to bed instead of writing tonight… *g* It’s not like I have a deadline or anything, technically.

*yawn*

February 26, 2002

Afternoon. I’m at lunch.

Still no progress on AbNo; I know where it’s going, but I had a meeting this morning and didn’t have a chance to do anything. And I’ve actually been working. :) Okay, pick your jaw up off the floor, now, I do my job! Really! Honest. :)

Um. Anyway, I’ll post more later.

February 26, 2002

Two things for this morning:

1. I called the police last night (well, I ended up calling two different depts. because I had no idea whose jurisdiction the accident I witnessed fell in!) and asked about the little girl. The dispatcher I spoke with was nice enough to look it up and she said that the little girl had been taken to the hospital, but she was fine. So I guess my prayer (and probably the prayers of everyone else there) did make a difference. :)

2. I love my parents. I don’t tell them that very often, but I really do. :)

More later…

Yargh.

Here I am. I don’t feel like going down the basement tonight to write up auctions, so I’m going to bring some books up here, and then carry them back downstairs. :)

Yes, I’m pitiful.

The addition is finished with AbNo. Did get to 50k, so that’s not too bad. Managed to (finally) get an idea as to where the book is going too. It should be very interesting! And bloody. :)

More later, I hope.

February 25, 2002

Well, end count for last night was 50,054. :)

I have about 30 pages to go on the adding, and then I’ll be ready, I hope, to either finish the story or continue it, whichever the case may be. I’m thinking continue it. After rereading the whole thing, this doesn’t really feel like the end. I think I’m in the middle, actually, so this might end up being as long as I intended in the first place if I play my cards right.

This evening’s goals:

Take the stuff to the PO that has been paid for already(!) (Some people are fast!)

Write AbNo

Post some more book auctions. For various reasons, I didn’t even come near my goal of 100 auctions posted. But I certainly do have over 100 books waiting for me to post them!

So. That shouldn’t be so difficult to complete.

More later, as time goes on…

It worked! coolness. :)

This is a test of the strange Visor HotSync/Blog Buddy problem…

February 25, 2002

Okay, now I’ve found something weird.

So I have a Visor. And I use BlogBuddy to post blog entries. I had to restart my computer four times yesterday to hotsync the Visor, and I couldn’t figure out what the deal was, until I realized that after every time I used BlogBuddy, my Visor wouldn’t be able to connect to my desktop and the hotsync wouldn’t work.

Does anyone know why this happens? I’m assuming they both are using the same something-or-other and that when I use BlogBuddy, it’s usurping the hotsync’s place or something. *g* I really have no idea what I’m talking about, of course.

So I’m looking for a way to use both of them without having to restart my computer each and every time I want to hotsync. Any ideas? Any alternatives to BlogBuddy out there that won’t do this? Will the same thing happen if I use my FTP program too? ‘Cause I think BlogBuddy FTPs into Blogger, but I’m not positive about that…

Any thoughts, oh you more knowledgable computer people? :)
