Well, at Goodwill’s big after-Thanksgiving sale, if you spent $50, you got $25 off, so I had to try.
I bought some sweaters I didn’t really need, some more of my dishes (technically), a colander, and a sweater coat that’s far too big on me but cool nonetheless. (An aside: Why do I keep buying sweaters that say hand wash/dry clean/etc.? Sheesh. I’m a fabric snob, I guess.
And then yesterday, all the clothes at Goodwill were 50% off, so we went to the other Goodwill. And I bought three more sweaters. You’d think I’d learn.
But I get to rearrange my drawers again now, and get rid of my “maybe I’ll wear this one” pile once and for all. So I guess some good did come out of it after all.
Started Christmas shopping yesterday. Ordering online for the most part; unless I can find it cheaper somewhere else, I’m avoiding stores this Christmas. So I ordered some stuff from Sierra Trading Post and Hearthsong. It’s going to take me a bit longer to find everything else.
I haven’t written CtS. I keep meaning to, but I’m still ruminating over what will happen next and where the story is going. Ah well.

Well, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of good food, great people, and a really funny practical joke from Dad.
And we had a special guest: Jenny Shafer! So now I can say that I’ve met two online friends this year for the very first time.
I’m feeling better today, but my throat still hurts a bit. I have to work until 3:30, and then I’m off to Goodwill for their big after-Thanksgiving sale. Whee. (Although I don’t really need *anything*, but I can’t resist an actual bargain.)

Okay… got both lots of yarn from ebay today. I will be busy forever.
I also made another bear (this one 3″ tall and with brown yarn in silk) since I didn’t feel well this morning and stayed home from work. Hey, it’s only my second sick day since I started.
Let’s see. Got a great idea for a mermaid bear with shells and suchlike; I’m going to try to make one and see how she goes. I think ornaments would be best, since it would work best hung up. I have all these shells and stuff, too, so hopefully the mermaid bear will look quite cute.
Other than that, I haven’t done much. Reread CtS, and I will write more tonight, I think.
Of course, now my throat hurts. Sheesh.

Ohhhh. I just got a great idea! I’m definitely going to have to write this one down…
I still ache today. I feel like I have the flu without the nausea. Ugh.
But still… my mind refuses to rest. So I’ll just have to take it easy and work on my idea (as well as CtS today…)

The second craft show was today. It went great; I made over $160, which was good, for a one day show.
Of course, sitting on a metal chair for eight hours on a concrete floor wreaked havoc with my body, and by 5:30, I felt like death warmed over. But after coming home and eating a bowl of very good (but not mine) chili along with a piece of three-layer chocolate cake, I feel a bit better.
At the show I finished the brown bear I started Thursday night and broke my record–I made a bear that was 1 1/2 inches tall. I sold that one, but not before getting some pictures. I will post one of those later, I think. (I’m thinking I need to get a gallery of bears going, from #1 on. (trying to think… I think I’m on #9 or #10 at the moment.)
But anyway, my report. Yummy fudge, great food… and a nice day all together.

My priority list/essay is now 3,096 words. Wow. I didn’t know I had so much to say on the issue. If I’m not careful, it will turn into a book.
I’m not positive I’ll get done with it this weekend; I have the other craft show on Saturday from 9-3. But we’ll see. It’s going well so far.
I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving. November is flying by just like this year has.
And CtS is sitting quite nicely at 23,000 words and some change. So I’m catching up. Although a quick calculation shows that I’m actually 10k and some change behind quota. hmm. Oh well. At the moment, I’m much more concerned about finishing the story properly than finishing NaNo. Sorry, everyone.
Oh, and the new bear is finished. Her name is Isabel. And she’s already a handful.
I’m thinking a pale, pale blue/gray mohair for the next bear. I have some, and it’s just asking for a bear. Although, I do have silk coming as well as 10lbs of other yarn (eek) so we’ll see. I should get the craft stuff together and ready to go tonight instead of making another bear, but I can’t seem to stop for long.

Well, I’m working on my priority list, and writing a sort-of essay at the same time. At the moment, the whole thing is up to 2,055 words.
Started another bear last night, after the successful auction ending of Rags, my smallest bear. I posted another one as well, so we’ll see if she sells or not. (Of course, I think she’s too cute, but I’m a bit biased.) And this one can stand on her head all by herself!
The new bear is neon lime green mohair. He has purple accents. The two colors are actually working together better than I hoped.
CtS is still going well. Not sure about the wordcount; I didn’t get much written yesterday, but I’m planning to write more today. And onward!

My room is clean. The only things left on my bed are four sweaters and some nightgowns that won’t fit into any drawer. Yay.
One thing down.
I believe that the first step for examining and reorganizing your priorities in life is to clean your room. That way, you can see everything you want to examine, and go through it without having to move something else aside. Now that I have a clean room, I can start making lists.
